Born 1921 inLake Charles Louisiana. Bonsall started playing at the age of nine with the triangle and later learned fiddle, accordion, and guitar. He served in the Marine Corps during WWII and was wounded three times. He was inducted into the Cajun Music Hall Of Fame in 1981. Bonsall passed away on October 14th 1996 in Lake Charles.
