The Possum Trotters were a bluegrass group based out of Denver, Colorado. They sometimes were billed as Elmer Possumtrot and the Possumtrotters, Eddie Jarrel & The Possum Trotters, or just The Possum Trotters.

They originated in 1963 in Denver from members of a radio show called Rocky Mountain Jamboree. Sandy Jarrad, the bandleader, was nicknamed Elmber Possumtrott which is where they got the groups name. The members of the Possum Trotters has changed a bit over the years, but (from what I can tell -FF), Joanne and Sandy were in the band from beginning to end.
