Info

The Nite-Cappers were a band based out of the Two Rivers Wisconsin area in the late 1960s. They formed on Christmas 1967 for an AT&T holiday party. They couldn't afford to pay the band so the three members got together for two hours before the party to practice and went to the Nite Cap Club, where the party was. This is where the band got their name as the club owner, John Betenz, asked them to play the weekends there.

All three members were electronic technicians. Wayne Brummer wrote their music and Bob Squire built their equipment. The band didn't practice much and couldn't read music.
