Prolific US-American mastering engineer. Eberle was born 15 July 1939 and died 12 April 2019 in Dickson, Tennessee, at 79 years of age. Eberle worked for more than 30 years at Nashville Record Productions (NRP) mastering recordings of every kind. On lacquers which he cut, his JE initials often (but not always) appear with NRP following it, but also appeared on pressings from United Record Pressing. After his time at NRP, Eberle launched his own business, Americana Mastering, which he ran himself. In 2014 Eberle completely retired from mastering as his health declined. In 2017 John Eberly was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Audio Engineering Society in Nashville. </text>
